About Mr. Coello, Sr.
As a committed business entrepreneur and
proven community advocate and organizer, Jose
Sr. strongly advocates for minority contractors,
minority employment, and MWBE contractual
opportunities. As the President of the New York
State Association of Minoritv Contractors. Jose
Sr. had the mission of advancing and promoting
the mutual interests of minority and women
contracting firms based in New York. The
organization's corporate partners include the
School Construction Authority (SCA), MTA, FCRC,
DASNY, Con Edison, Battery Park, and the New York Port
Authority, amongst several others.
NYSAMC is particularly proud of being a signatory to the
precedent- setting Community Benefits Agreement (CBA)
of the Barclay Center Arena and Atlantic Yards Project,
and will continue to monitor and advocate for small
businesses.
