It has always puzzled me why we have not been to able effect change utilizing our right to assemble and protest peacefully. Why is that other groups can come together and protest and produce change or compromise?

This is something that I have always wondered about. You see other nationalities making things happen by standing together and making change happen. The most recent is taking down that Mayor in Puerto Rico that did not represent the majority. Why can't we as a majority not stop things that are going on in our communities? I think it has a lot to do with people not caring, being afraid of backlash, being unable to voice their truths because of their role in the business sector. It is so frustrating to me that so much happens to our community and people are outraged but another races steps in to right a wrong done to us. We are a people with tremendous resources but when something happens action on our part is lacking. This is to our own detriment and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
